The “One Stitch” heel procedure was proudly developed by Dr. Stran in 1990 for the treatment of heel spur syndrome and plantar fasciitis. This one-of-a-kind procedure is performed in an outpatient surgical center, and the patient is able to walk away in a fracture boot the same day.
With this procedure, the doctor is able to remove the heel spur and release the contracture of the plantar fascia ligament. This is done through a tiny, minimally invasive incision. Intraoperative imaging is used for guidance during the procedure. Only one stitch is required for the procedure.
The patient will be allowed to walk in a fracture boot and then in stable shoes after three days.
